Our Cable Ties

Bay State Cable ties are available in lengths from 4" to 48" in tensile strengths of miniature, intermediate, standard, light heavy duty, heavy duty and extra heavy duty. All our products are UL listed and Mil-Spec approved where applicable and all products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

BSCT ties are made from 6/6 nylon. Available materials include UV Black Stabilized (for outdoor applications) and Heat Stabilized. Our sales department can help recommend the appropriate material for your cable tie application. Contact BSCT for assistance and samples to determine the best material to meet your demands.

Nylon 6/6 - General Purpose Nylon 6/6 - UV Stabilized

General purpose nylon 6/6 features light weight, high strength and a wide temperature range. Even at higher than recommended temperatures or exposure to flame, nylon does not give off toxic or irritating by-products. Nylon 6/6 is hydroscopic and, therefore, absorbs or releases moisture depending on its environment. Moisture level of the material will affect tensile strength, stiffness, and elongation of the product.

General-purpose nylon 6/6 with increased resistance to ultraviolet light. Carbon black is one of the most effective stabilizers known today. A uniform dispersion of carbon black provides good ultraviolet light resistance without adversely affecting physical properties. The addition of carbon black, or any other ultraviolet light stabilizer, prolongs the useful life of plastic products used outdoors, but it does not totally eliminate the destructive effects of the light.
